Pet Rat(s) for Private Adoption
Private Adoption
Adoption
"I recently rescued a female rat (approx. 4 months old) from a really bad situation. I have male rats and so I can’t keep her with me, so I’m looking for a good, safe home for her to go to where she can live out the rest of her life safe and loved. She will *need* another female rat to live with, rats are very social animals and need a friend. I’m currently working on rescuing her sister who is approx the same age. If you have rat knowledge and can provide a good home for a super friendly, sweet ratty (or possibly ratties) please contact me! This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Luca for Private Adoption
Private Adoption
Adoption
Lever-Lucaweb
Young Adult Light orange tabby Male - Medium Hair
Hi- My name is Luca ( or Luke)- I was found wandering about last May, lost or abandoned. . I am about 2 years old as I am still quite playful and inquisitive. I love catnip, just need you to know that straight up if I'm coming to your house! I also like to eat, but I am getting less hyper about it. I think I was on my own too long without food so I line up whenever someone is in the kitchen. I am a huge push over though. I will let anyone push me out of my bowl, even a kitten. I can wait, really no growling even.

Spike (KAAP #793)
Kootenay Animal Assistance Program (KAAP)
Adoption
Spike4
Spike is a five-year old neutered German Shepherd who until he came to KAAP spent his life as a guard dog. When his people had to move and he was about to be euthanized, KAAP brought him into care. Not surprisingly he has found that life as a pet in his foster home is way more to his liking than being on a chain 24/7. True to his breed, he will bark and let you know if you are about to have a visitor - but don’t let his name fool you – once he meets a new person he welcomes all the attention and love he can con out of you.
Spike is not aggressive or dominant. He gets along well with other dogs and he pretty much ignores the cat in his foster home; however he is still learning to be a balanced, self-assured dog. He would do well in a home where he is well-exercised and provided with discipline and boundaries by an experienced, confident leader who can guide him as he experiences new situations, exposure to people and other dogs.
Please call your KAAP volunteer if you would like to learn more about Spike. The adoption fee for an adult dog is $210.

Dudley and Smarty
Adoption
Dudley and Smarty
Dudley & Smarty are in Nelson and for adoption together. Their senior went into a home and was no longer able to care for them. These boys are for people who would like to adopt two smaller older easy care dogs. They still like going for walks and playing and it's really quite comical to watch them play together. Of course being 13 & 14 they do love to watch t.v. with you and snooze.
